Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actor as well as a performer. Her birthplace and childhood was in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) and is Nurse as well as Tom Bell, a television news director. Her family ancestry includes Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen realized her potential within the industry of entertainment at a young age. She won her role as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after going to the first audition. Bell's mom enrolled her with an agency just before she turned 13; she then appeared in television advertisements and newspaper ads. She also started taking acting lessons in private at this time. Bell played a brief, uncredited performance as a character Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell studied at Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music and drama club. When her school staged a stage production The Wizard of Oz, Bell won the role of Dorothy. Bell was then transferred to New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student at the Tisch School of the Arts. In 2001, Bell quit her university in order to perform the part as Becky in Tom Sawyer. The same year she appeared in Pootie Tang, but the scene in which Bell played the role was removed. As a result, only her credit sequence exists. Bell made her debut in 2002. Bell was as a character in The Crucible, a Broadway production of The Crucible with Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
