Awkwafina
Awkwafina has been described as an American actor and musician who was first noticed for her clever raps that delved into racial as well as sexuality from humor that was bold and witty. Then she moved on to Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was from playing the trumpet. Additionally, she was given Jazz and classical training before exploring hip-hop in her teenager. In her studies, she studied journalism as well as women's studies in college even studying Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. It wasn't until after graduating when she decided to turn her attention on music. Her song My Vag, a response track to the Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity on the Internet in 2012. It was eventually included on her album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. This album also featured hit songs with viral appeal, like the body-positive Queef or the winking city tour the city of New York Bitche$. The latter track was linked with another Awkwafina project NYC a travel guide published in the year 2015. She decided to pursue acting career following her completion of two ventures as a musician and author. She has appeared in films like Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. Her breakthrough came in 2018 with a few high profile films, including Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. Her debut EP,"In Fina We Trust in June in the same year.
